Scott, seen here with his brother Mark , has been with the club for over 20 years.

Scott's main martial arts style has been Shotokan karate which he has studied for over 20 years under Sensei Robert Carruthers 6th Dan and is currently graded 3rd dan.

While training under Bob and encouraged by Bob's enthusiasm and experience in martial arts, Scott explored other styles of martial arts, training in Shukakai karate for approximately 4 years earning the grade of 1st kyu brown belt, Kali an art covering short sticks (escrima) and close combat techniques, and lately ju-jitsu under Sensei Andy Wilshaw 6th Dan earning the grade of 1st dan.

Scott has also trained internationally in Portugal and Ireland, with sensei's such as Jack Hogan, Henri Valaire, John Duggan, Joah Fernandez and Andy Wilshaw.

Scott has found over the years that a willingness to learn and the fortune to work with such skilled sensei has been hugely rewarding.

His depth of experience and capabilities as an instructor are a huge asset to the club and he goes out of his way to encourage and pass on his knowledge to our students

Scott also holds full 1st aid training qualifications along with Steve our junior coach.

We also have other dan grades and martial artists from Go-juru, Ju jitsu and Judo who are active club members.
